Positive Noticing Day 2026 - Term 2

For Positive Noticing Day for Term 2, we followed along the theme of Bonfire Night and looked for people who 'light up our day'. We wrote on firework tags that we shared with our friends to let them know ways that they make us happy.
Olympus:
Today Olympus celebrated Positive Noticing Day and discussed people who 'lit up our day'. We linked this to our learning about Diwali and fireworks and takes about moments to celebrate in class.

Ben Hope:
Ben Hope loved celebrating Positive Noticing Day and taking time to appreciate the people who light up our day. We celebrated kindness, friendship and how we help and support each other every day.

Ben Nevis:
Ben Nevis class discussed ways that people can 'light up our day' through kind and thoughtful actions. The children shared wonderful examples including "helping me smile after I got hurt" and "playing with me at lunchtime when I had no one to play with". This prompted some lovely discussions about kindness, friendship and the positive impact that small acts can have on others.

Kilimanjaro:
Kilimanjaro decided to consider ways in which people make our school a better, happier place. The children focused on children who have showed kindness, tried hard to learn new things and who have supported them.

Snowdon:
We enjoyed explaining who lit up our day in Snowdon. We loved trying to use firework puns in our messages. We had a blast!

Fuji:
We spent time thinking about the people who have lifted our day and made a positive difference to us through their kindness, help, and encouragement. The children enjoyed recognising others and writing thoughtful messages to show their appreciation. Due to Bikeability taking place this week, Fuji's class completed the activity over multiple days, giving everyone the opportunity to take part and reflect on the people who brighten their day.
