Home Learning - Learning with Parents
At Queen Emma's Primary school, we know how important parental involvement is in ensuring every child flourishes. Supporting your child in tasks related to the learning in class, will strengthen their long term memory and enable them to retrieve this knowledge in the future. We support children to make meaningful connections between knowledge, understanding and skills.
Learning with Parents
Our online home learning platform is an easy to use and fun way to engage in your child's learning. Each week your child will be set an english or maths activity which will be sent via a link to your email.

Class teachers set Diagnostic Maths Quizzes for pupils to complete on weekly basis

Parents can also install the 'Eedi' app (on any platform) which will inform them when new diagnostic questions have been set.
Numbots
NumBots is an online game. Playing little and often will significantly improve your child’s recall and understanding of number bonds and addition and subtraction facts. These are critical foundations in maths so we are excited by the impact NumBots will have.
Timetables Rockstars
Timetables Rockstars is an excellent way to support children's fluency and recall. Completing 5-10 minutes a day is evidenced to have high impact.
Parents can also support pupils in developing their reading by sharing books with their children and listening to children read their 'Read, Write, Inc' reading books (in KS1).
