Express Events
At the end of each term, each phase will design and take part in an express event to demonstrate their learning from their projects. Families are invited into the school to take part in the learning journey!
Autumn 1 2024: KS1 Harvest Festival
This year, KS1 invited families into the hall to hear them tell the story of harvest, read a poem they had written as a class, and display their harvest artwork. The children asked families to bring donations for the Witney Community Fridge.
Autumn 1 2024: LKS2 Classroom Tour
Lower KS2 children invited parents into the school to visit their classrooms! The children presented their books and work from the term so far, and had fun activities to engage in with their families. It was a lovely afternoon where families could experience where their children spend their day, and explore their learning journey so far.
Autumn 1 2024: Olympus
In Olympus, parents were invited into the classroom to take part in a range of autumnul activities. Families joined their children to create 3D leaf art, collages, a giant collaborate painting, and to look at the children's learning journey in the floor books.
To end the afternoon, the children performed 'Big, Red, Combine Harvester' for all the families!
Autumn 1 UKS2: Cooking
For the Year 5 and 6 express event, families were invited into school to help children create a pasta sauce as part of their D&T project from this term. Judging by the queue of children lining up for seconds (and some thirds!) we can safely say UKS2 thoroughly enjoyed their express event!
There was a lovely buzz in the hall as the children planned their own healthy daily diet, prepped whole food sauces, cooked flatbreads and enjoyed bowls of pasta.
Thank you to the families who were able to join us, we hope you enjoyed yourselves.
Autumn 2: Everest - Board Games
Everest class had a fantastic time welcoming parents into class for a board game session. A huge thank you to the parents who joined us.
