Term 1 &2 Project
through the ages
In the Through the Ages project, your child will learn about three different periods of British prehistory: the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. They will discover terminology relating to time and sequence dates to make a timeline. They explore the changes to people, homes and lifestyle throughout the different periods and investigate examples of prehistoric settlements, monuments, burials and artefacts in detail. They will also study how technology improved over time, including how the discovery of different metals changed the way that people lived.

memorable experience - term 1
History Squad visited us on Monday 16th September for a Stone Age to Bronze Age workshop. In this incredible workshop, we started by exploring the world-class collection of Neolithic and Paleolithic artefacts. We safely held real Stone Age items, such as teeth and bones from animals like the cave bear and mammoth, flint hand axes and arrowheads, antler tools, and much more!
Afterwards, we enjoyed a Stone Age game involving clay balls and throwing.
We finished by going on a scavange around the hall to find edible items, who knew you could eat dandelion! See some photos below.
